Welcome to the City of Perth Band, one of Western Australia’s most enduring musical institutions, established in 1898. With over 125 years of rich history, we proudly represent three ensembles: the City of Perth Brass Band, the City of Perth Concert Band, and Thundercorps. From classical brass and concert performances to the dynamic energy of marching music, our bands bring vibrant and diverse sounds to stages across Perth and beyond. Dedicated to preserving musical tradition, fostering talent, and enriching the cultural fabric of our community, we perform at concerts, parades, competitions, and events throughout the year.
Do you play a woodwind or brass instrument, or percussion? Come along to one of our rehearsals and see if it’s your idea of a fun time. The City of Perth Band is comprised of three bands: The City of Perth Brass Band, the City of Perth Concert Band and the City of Perth Marching Corps. All are open to new members and perform at a number of functions and put on a number of concerts each year.

- The Brass Band rehearses every Wednesday Night at the Sir Charles Court Bandroom in East Perth, starting at 7:30 PM
- The Concert Band rehearses every Tuesday Night at the Sir Charles Court Bandroom in East Perth, starting at 7:30 PM
- The Marching Corps rehearses every Thursday night at the Sir Charles Court Bandroom in East Perth, starting at 7:30 PM
